Bikram Yoga is a sequence of 26 postures done in a heated room which allows the body to warm up and move with more ease.  It is a great class for anyone totally new to yoga and or anyone with injuries.

The sequence is the same for every class. It is a very safe style of yoga to practice as you don’t have to move quickly from one pose to the next.

We offer the original 90 minute sequence where each posture is done twice and an Express 60 minute class where some of the postures are only done once.  Great for those who are time poor or new to the sequence.

All of our Yoga Instructors are Certified Bikram Teachers with many years of teaching experience between us.

How hot can you expect to get?

Our Yoga Room, or “Hot Room” as we refer to it, is heated to around 30-35 degrees so be prepared to sweat – a lot!  That being said, we monitor the room carefully to ensure you get to practice in the best possible conditions and so we don’t let the room get over heated.

A Yin Yoga class consists of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, legs and spine.

Yin Yoga works on the yin tissues – also known as the connective tissues. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load which is why we hold the poses for longer.  By holding a yin pose for a long time in this way, the body will respond by making the connective tissue longer and stronger – which is exactly what you want.

The class is done by candle light with soft meditation music.  A great way to relax and unwind while giving your body the restorative benefits that come with this style of yoga.
